Video shows force on collide, then animation, sound, and particle system on collde, and a walkthrough of the map from last week.
12/3 Made the squished sphere animation sync up with the pus particle system. Took a little bit again to get the animation to work with the trigger, but eventually got it. Still not 100% sure what exactly I did to get it to work. Added some tubes that grow and shrink in the hand tunnel.
12/4 Absolutely fucked up all the animations, triggers and scripts I had made over the last few days. Instead of just restarting my computer (which fixed the issue of unity freezing and refusing to play), I gutted most of what I had done.
12/6 Recreated the animation on trigger that I had made on 12/2. Also recreated and fixed the puss-y sphere animation. I was having a hard time getting it to reset and be retriggered before because I was using bool instead of trigger as the parameter. Now the animation plays, then it returns back to the empty state until the trigger is hit again. Made an animation that moves a cube with a rigid body to knock the player off the top of the ramp at the end. The cube hits the player and the player bounces up. Played with mass and direction but the same upward movement and clipping happened each time.
12/11 Played around some more with moving the player with an animated cube. Kept running into the same issue. Added force that starts on trigger enter. Got it to work with a cube with a rigid body modifier attached, but for some reason it wouldn’t work with my desktop character controller. After some research figured out its probably something to do with the character controller movement settings. Tried it with the XR controller and it worked immediately. Moved the force trigger up to the correct area and tweaked the size and force. Had to change the code to have an on trigger exit because the force never stopped even after the player lands on the ground below. Now once the player gets to the edge of the ramp they are ejected and fall down to the terrain below.
